Yes — F Series models with NBTevo (iD5/iD6) head units support factory CarPlay via a VIN-specific FSC code. Earlier NBT units can also be activated. Message us with your VIN to confirm.
What cable do I need for F Series coding?
An ENET cable is required for all F Series coding and diagnostics. The cable plugs into your BMW's OBD port and your laptop's Ethernet port.
Can coding be done remotely?
Yes. Kadir connects to your laptop via TeamViewer or AnyDesk, applies the coding changes you want, and walks you through the process. Most sessions take 60—90 minutes.
Will coding void my warranty?
Coding changes configuration values, not firmware. All changes are reversible — we back up your original coding before any modifications.
How long does a F Series coding session take?
A typical CarPlay activation takes 20—30 minutes. A full comfort coding session (CarPlay + VIM + mirrors + 5—10 hidden features) runs about 60—90 minutes.
Do I need both ISTA+ and ESys?
For coding (CarPlay, VIM, hidden features) you need ESys + PSdZData. For diagnostics, battery registration, and service resets, ISTA+ is the right tool. Many owners use both.
