Will BMW of Sterling, Crevier, McKenna or my local CA dealer flag the coding?

No. The comfort and visual coding KDR Coding performs is the same coding that BMW Individual orders ship with from the factory — it just was not ticked on your build sheet. Dealers in CA do not scan for these flags during routine service.

Does coding affect my California smog check?

No. KDR Coding does not touch emissions, catalytic converter, or DEF systems. Coding is limited to comfort, visual, infotainment, and convenience features. Your smog inspection result will not change.

I drive an i3 / i4 / iX — can you code it?

Yes. The i3 (I01) is supported via NBT-evo coding. The i4 and iX use the MGU head unit and support a similar feature set to the G Series gas cars — full CarPlay, Android Auto unlock, digital cluster tweaks, region unlock, and more.
