Which BMW Head Units Support Apple CarPlay
Factory Apple CarPlay can be activated on these BMW head units:
- NBTevo (iD5 / iD6) — F Series and early G Series, roughly 2016–2018. Supports wireless CarPlay.
- NBT — 2013–2016 F Series.
- EntryNav2 — smaller-screen F Series.
- MGU (iD7 / iD8) — 2019+ G Series, where CarPlay is usually already enabled.

Wired vs Wireless CarPlay on NBTevo
NBTevo iD5/iD6 supports wireless Apple CarPlay — but only when the head unit has its Wi-Fi antenna plug connected. Most cars optioned with factory navigation have it. Without that antenna you can still get CarPlay, just without the wireless convenience.
How to Check Your Head Unit
